As we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, SJCA is once again focusing on serving others during this season of Advent. This year, we’re excited to share three impactful ways you and your family can join us in spreading joy and meeting the needs of our community. As Hebrews 13:16 tells us"Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." We invite all SJCA families to participate in these initiatives and give as you are able:
1. SJCA Mitten Tree Collection - COMPLETE
Our Leadership Council is sponsoring the annual Mitten Tree collection. We are gathering new mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, and socks for infants, children, and adults. Your generous donations will be distributed to The Brass School, The Shalom Center, and St. Mark Outreach Center.

Where: Drop off in Sister Sylvia’s Room
2. Reverse Advent Calendar
This year, the Lower Campus is creating a Reverse Advent Calendar to support the St. Mark Food Pantry. Each day, we’re asking families to contribute a specific item (see calendar below). Donations can be dropped off in the main office at any time.

3. Adopting Local Families
The Upper Campus is adopting three local families in need this Christmas season. We are asking for your help to provide gifts and essentials for these families. Donations can be made by signing up via the SignUpGenius link here.

Gift Drop-Off Deadline: Wednesday, December 18
Gift Wrapping: The 6th and 7th graders will assist in wrapping gifts on December 19.
Delivery: Gifts will be delivered to the Shalom Center.
